Apple’s iPhone 6 is getting much attention these days as its rumors are swirling like honey bees around their hive. These rumors are about everything from Expected Release Dates of iPhone 6, its updated specifications to new Killer App to ground breaking features. When it comes to the arrival of iPhone 6, there are variations in the opinions of analysts. Some experts are predicting that Apple will fall back in its summer announcement habit which was the case with the exemption of last two iPhone releases, iPhone 4 S & iPhone 5. With that, it means that iPhone 6 will be announced in June 2013 & eventually go on for sale in July 2013.
Expected Release Dates of iPhone 6
But there are reasons which are compelling to let us believe that this time, iPhone 6 could not only be released in September 2013 but also some news suggest that the waiting time can last until January 2014.
Before getting into the reasons of iPhone 6 2014 release, let’s take a look at a bargained time period which falls in September 2013. The September release time not only matches with the release of iPhone 4S & iPhone 5 but it is also supported by the latest rumor. Apple’s manufacturing company FOXCONN which assembles iPhone, has confirmed that it has hired 10,000 workers per week from March 2013. It is reported by Wall Street Journal that these workers will start working soon to manufacture iPhone 6. So, if relied upon past production & release time frame of 4 months, it could be said that iPhone 6 will be available in September 2013 given the manufacturing period takes 1 month & ends on 15th May, 2013.
So when talking about the expected release date of iPhone 6, we believe it still needs 8 months to go on sale in January 2014? The stated reason is that Apple has discontinued receiving its processor chips from Samsung as a result of patent defending court wars & has recently signed a deal with TSMC, a Taiwanese company which will ship Apple A7 chips for iPhone 6. TSMC is about to start the chip manufacturing process in May-June 2013 which could last so long that it will force iPhone 6 to be released not before 2014. Now its up to Apple whether they want new A7 chips in iPhone 6 or they want to offer iPhone 6 no later than September 2013 with A6.
